Flips Flops & Handprints

I have lost count of how many quilts have gone out the door and I have failed to take pictures of them, it has become a problem!

Here is the last quilt I finished for a client and got a photo of. The quilt top patten is called Beach Glass. It will be a wedding present for my client's son and his future wife. He proposed on the beach and they will get married on the beach, so my client wanted a beach theme quilting pattern. I used Anne Brights pantograph Ocean View and used a tan/cream variegated thread. The batik fabrics in this quilt were beautiful. It was really a fun pattern to quilt and a cooperative quilt.

Zoom in to see the flip flops.....

At the end of October I began piecing 2 quilt tops for another client for Christmas gifts for her family. She did a handprint/footprint/bottom print for each month, added embellishments and picked coordinating fabrics. I pieced the top together and I'm quilting top #1 and I'm working on piecing quilt top #2.

Close up of January, I quilted snowflakes in the outer frame for the block.....
February block, in the outer frame I am doing hearts....
On the inner frame I am quilting e's and l's, the sashing is ribbons and the outer boarder are flowers. So for each month the outer frame will be unique, butterflies, flowers, etc and the others areas will stay consistent. I am also using a brown thread overall. The consistent quilting and thread color will add cohesion to the quilt and the differing quilting per block on the outer border adds some personality.

I can't wait for her to see these! She put a lot of work into the blocks and fabric choices.

Happy quilting and happy thanksgiving!
